Apply for an Account
| To utilize the resources on the NGS you need to obtain an e-science certificate and then apply for an account (your certificate needs to be in your browser when applying). The application form just needs some basic details from you about your research project and the type and quantity of resources you need (eg diskspace, CPU hours, databases). Your application will take a few days to review and authorise after which you will get email confirmation of your account and the reources that have been allocated you. You will then be able to authenticate to NGS resources. |  |

You can request extra resources at any time after applying so do not worry too much about pin pointing the exact amount of resource you need on application. UASAt any time after account creation you can check your account details through our User Account System (again you will need your e-science certificate in your browser). This allows you to check your current status and the resources you have consumed, along with other details. You can also apply for new extra resources through this system. Certificate ManagementAt any time after you applied for and received your digital e-Science certificate, you can renew and revoke it, and perform other manipulations such as importing and exporting your certificate in/out from your Internet browser.
