Cloud Computing has been the subject of a lot of hype, but also offers a range of exciting possibilities for researchers. Commercial suppliers of Infrastructure-as-a-Service and Platform-as-a-Service Clouds offering  pay-as-you-go computing and storage present new opportunities and challenges for researchers, institutions, and funders.

The focus of the workshop will be on meeting research needs, rather than on the technology of cloud computing. Attendees need not have extensive knowledge about Cloud Computing or be actively involved in using it.

This event should be of interest to all senior management in information systems in the education community and those responsible for delivering digital services and resources for learning, teaching and research.

 Who’s it for - all researchers who’s work could be furthered by computing and data resources. Anyone who feels they need some help in getting their work to benefit more from advances in IT.
