Connecting Infrastructure, Connecting Research

Tutorials

In response to the requirements gathered from the UK research community through the JISC eUptake projects, the NGS has recently taken a lead in producing a basic introductory text for researchers wishing to understand the aspects of distributed computing that may be of use to them. This text has been created by a community of experts and researchers in many domains and is expected to be an eveolving community resource.

This tutorial introduces the new NGS component which allows you to submit your jobs to the infrastructure without having to know which resources it needs to run on or the details of resource addresses. The WMS has information about the resources on the NGS and can select appropriate ones to run your job.
